Description
The Stainless Steel Split Pin is inserted through a drilled pin, shaft or castellated nut and bent after installation to provide a simple mechanical lock. It is used on linkage, clevis, hinge, steering, deck and machinery assemblies where the joint design specifies this retention method. A2 and A4 stainless grades offer different corrosion resistance. Pin diameter, length, leg form, head profile, material grade, hole size, installation method, single-use policy and package quantity must be selected for the joint and inspection procedure.
