Description
The Mooring Rope Chafe Guard creates a replaceable protective layer around mooring lines where they contact fairleads, chocks, bollards or other abrasive surfaces. Heavy-duty polyester, nylon and reinforced synthetic sleeves can reduce fibre wear without altering the approved rope selection. Wraparound and tubular designs support installation on new or existing lines. Guard length, internal diameter, material, closure, abrasion rating, attachment method, inspection visibility, drainage and compatibility with the rope diameter must be selected for the contact point.
