Description
The Marine MF/HF Radio provides medium- and long-range communication for vessels operating beyond coastal VHF coverage. Voice, digital selective calling and compatible data functions can support routine traffic, safety messages and distress alerting within the GMDSS arrangement. Systems may include a transceiver, control unit, antenna tuner and distress panel. Power output, frequency coverage, DSC class, telex capability, power supply, antenna system, grounding, interfaces and marine approval must match the vessel radio survey requirements.
