Description
The Inmarsat-C Terminal supports global text messaging, distress alerting, enhanced group calling and vessel reporting through the Inmarsat satellite network. A complete installation may include a transceiver, compact antenna, control unit, printer and distress button arrangement. The system can receive maritime safety information and exchange operational data with shore offices. Terminal type, GMDSS functions, antenna, power supply, printer, GPS input, network interfaces, registration and marine approval must match the vessel radio plan.
